The chapter held its winter quarterly meeting in December at Wynlakes Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama, with more than 100 members and guests attending. The guest speaker was Toy Robinson, 754th Electronic Systems Group, system program director, Global Combat Support System-Air Force, who spoke about the lessons that can be learned from the open source software development community. The chapter also conducted its annual meeting, electing and installing officers for the 2009 calendar year. Olan Waldrop, chapter president, extended special thanks to the companies that sponsored corporate tables, including Accenture, Creative Computing Solutions Inc., Disruptive Technology Corporation, IBM, Telos and Unisys.

Annual Membership Mixer
The chapter sponsored its annual membership meeting at the Maxwell Air Force Base Gunter Annex Falcon's Nest Club in November.
